Heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems noise control consulting to support design of addition, including a 400-seat sanctuary, meeting rooms, and narthex. Soundscape Engineering partner Nathan Sevener reviewed the mechanical system design as it progressed and provided recommendations for meeting the noise level criteria established for all of the new spaces. Challenges successfully met included ensuring that nozzle type air supply diffuser were able to throw air long distances from the rear of the fan-shaped Sanctuary without generating excessive noise and integrating duct silencers and other noise control elements into cramped mechanical spaces located close to the room being served.
